day 45: FT#6--Shfelah [david&goliath fun]

so lame story--the internet was down yesterday so i couldn't post last night on our awesome field trip! but better late than never so here it goes. we went to the Shfelah, which are the low plains that sit in between the coastal plains of Philistia and the high hills. we visited a bunch of tels and the location of David and Goliath's battle. it was a super duper long and exhausting full day field trip.

the limestone is so soft that you can write your name in it! hope kearl doesn't see this picture of how i defaced israeli nature... :P

next we went to mareshaw next and went to a dove cove where they used to raise doves and pidgins.

one of my favorite things of the day was going to the bell caves.

these caves were so cool and had awesome acoustics. we sang a bunch of hymns here, it was awesome.

we also went to the Eylon valley where some of our classmates reenacted the story of David and Goliath. 

they did such a good job, it was awesome!

this was seriously the longest field trip everrrr. but it was good. yet so exhausting.
