on our first day out and about in turkey we went to the topkapi palace which is where the sultans used to live when they ruled over the ottoman empire. there were lots of cool artifacts from the time of the sultans and tons of jewelry type of stuff on display there

after the palace we went to the blue mosque which is not the biggest mosque but the most visited by tourists since it's the closest one to the topkapi palace

and after the blue mosque we went to and underground cistern where they used to store water back in the day. so cool
go got to go on a cruise for about 1 1/2 hours on our way to dinner. me and ashlyn.

my mamma taught me how to eat fish the right way. i'm like a pro.
for dessert we went out to baklava at the "best baklava place in turkey"--or so one of the guides said. but i guess it was pretty legit. they had obama's face made out of baklava. no big deal.
